The Community Action Partnership of Kern (CAPK) is a network of services, including a major Food Bank that assists needy families in the region. Electricity is paramount to keeping the Food Bank office and warehouse operational with 40,500 cubic feet of walk-in refrigeration and freezer space to ensure proper storage of fruits, vegetables, meat, and other fresh and frozen foods. Thanks to generous funding from the community, the Food Bank with the help of A-C Solar by A-C Electric installed solar that will reduce its electricity costs by approximately $50,000 a year.
